Together we can overcome COVID-19

During the first full week of the nation-wide lockdown to combat the coronavirus pandemic that is devastating the world, we were grateful for good news that brought us joy and hope at this difficult and uncertain time.

The 114 South Africans who were evacuated from Wuhan in China some weeks ago ended their quarantine and were reunited with their families. They have all tested negative for the virus and are in good health and good spirits.

Patients have rights too

With March being Human Rights Month, Vuk’uzenzele looks at the rights of heath facility patients.

Healthcare is a basic human right that should be enjoyed by all South Africans.

This prompted the Department of Health to put together a Patients' Charter.

The charter states that everyone has the right to healthcare, regardless of their ability to pay for the treatment.
