Nomvula decided to take a stand against the pollution in the Isipingo River. Together with Zodwa Elizabeth Ndlovu and a few other women from her community, they started an action plan to clean up the river.

REGISTER YOUR CUSTOMARY MARRIAGE TO MAKE IT LEGAL

Traditional marriages will only be recognised as lawful if they have been registered. Even if lobola was paid and the marriage was celebrated along with customary rituals and laws, it must be registered with the Department of Home Affairs. 

WHAT IS TB?

TB is a disease that is caused by a germ called Mycobacterium Tuberculosis. The germ usually attacks the lungs, but can attack any part of the body, like the kidneys, spine and brain. If you do not get proper treatment, you can die fromTB.
 

How do you know you have TB?

The main aims of the Road Ranger programme are to reduce road accidents and monitor stray animals through community involvement.

With South African roads always busy during the December break, the Road Rangers make an important contribution to the overall December Road Safety Plan of the Transport Department.

Last year a number of people failed their matric exams. Because the new curriculum was introduced this year, they cannot re-write their exams while attending school like normal pupils do. 

But all is not lost for them. There is help through the Department of Education’s Senior Certificate Assistance Support Programme.

Fish hatchery to create jobs, develop skills

The new fish hatchery is built by the Free State Department of Agriculture in cooperation with the Chinese government. It will be known as the South African Agricultural Demonstration Centre.
