Keeping the Madiba Magic alive

A women-led community development project is keeping the legacy of former President Nelson Mandela alive by educating children, and providing entrepreneurship and employability skills to women, youth and persons living with disabilities in the North West. 

Tshwaraganang Barolong Project (TBP) is a non-profit organisation (NPO) that was established in 2001 in Motsitlane section near Madibogo village.

A Gauteng-based theatre organisation is transforming the lives of young South Africans through the performing arts. 

The National Children’s Theatre (NCT) aims to grow the next generation of leaders through engaging performance arts, original and instructive musicals, and captivating after-school programmes.

It was established in 1989 as Johannesburg Youth Theatre but was renamed NCT in 2005. 

Siblings bake a perfect legacy

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Young Eastern Cape-based pastry chef, Mihlali Quntana, is well on her way to creating and leaving a legacy for future generations after establishing a bakery in her hometown with her siblings. 

While under the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown Quntana decided to bake cakes and sell them in KwaDwesi, in Gqeberha.

At the time, the 27-year-old had a full-time job.
