Thank you for writing to Vuk’uzenzele with your query.
The Second Chance Matric Programme of the Department of Basic Education provides support to those who want to rewrite matric subjects.
It helps them to meet the requirements of the National Senior Certificate (NSC) or Senior Certificate (SC) and obtain a Grade 12 matric certificate.
Face to face classes are available at locations around the country, as well as online programmes and television and radio broadcasts.
Registration for the 2026 Second Chance Matric Programme is open until February 6, 2026, for the May/June exams.
You can register online at www.eservices.gov.za, at an accredited examination centre, or at your nearest district office. Ensure you register with only one method to avoid complications.
