Computer lab brings hope

The lives of learners with an intellectual disability from Hope and Grace Lsen Special School in Limpopo will change for the better.

This was after the MTN SA foundation donated a computer laboratory, which caters for learners with an intellectual disability. The Deputy Minister of Social Development Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu facilitated the donation. The MTN foundation donated a fully refurbished classroom, which was turned into a computer lab along with 20 computers to the school.

DAFF-China Scholarship Programme 2017

The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) in partnership with the Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU), are offering a fully-funded postgraduate scholarship to the People’s Republic of China.

The aim of the scholarship is to address the shortage of critical skills by inviting applications from eligible individuals in the Professional Masters Program who wish to further their studies and pursue careers in Fishery Science to apply for this 2017 DAFF-China Scholarship programme.

Sweet harvest for sugar cane farmers

Five community-based cooperatives that plant sugar cane in the area of Qoloqolo in the Umzumbe Local Municipality, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), will have a sweet sugar cane harvest this year. This comes after MEC for KZN Agriculture and Rural Development (KZNDARD) Cyril Xaba officially launched a R14 million sugar cane project in partnership with the South African Sugar Association (SASA).
