Letter
Dear Vuk’uzenzele,
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to you and the entire Vuk’uzenzele team for the opportunity to be featured in the April edition. It is truly an honour that I do not take lightly.
For me personally, being featured in a South African government publication is a meaningful milestone—one that represents recognition not only of my work, but of the broader mission to serve our communities.
It is especially humbling to be featured alongside government officials and changemakers who work tirelessly to uphold the principles of the Constitution and the Freedom Charter. This alignment reinforces the importance of collective effort in building a more equitable society.
Importantly, the exposure from Vuk’uzenzele has already begun to position my current project, Nourish & Grow, in meaningful ways.
It has attracted interest and engagement from various government departments, strengthening the potential for collaborative impact.
We are currently implementing a pilot at the Sharpeville Community Learning Centre, led by my company, Letlotlo Permaculture Design, where we are demonstrating how sustainable food systems can support education, nutrition, and community development.
One of the highlights of this experience was the opportunity to engage with More Matshediso, who is not only a remarkable professional but also a genuinely inspiring human being. His work and the stories he tells are powerful, and they continue to motivate me to push forward in my own journey.
Thank you once again to the editor and the entire team for your dedication to telling impactful South African stories. Your work matters, and it is making a difference.
Kind regards,
Tshepang Mokoena

Dear Tshepang,
Thank you for your kind letter. It is rewarding to hear that your feature in our April edition has already opened doors for the Nourish & Grow project and sparked interest from other departments.
The work you are doing at the Lehaheng La Adullame Centre to move the Winterveld community toward self-sufficiency is exactly the kind of impactful story we strive to tell.
We are also pleased that your experience with More Matshediso was so positive.
Thank you for being a loyal reader and for your commitment to community development.
We wish you and your team continued success with your pilot at the Sharpeville Centre.
Kind regards,
